Through natural lawn maintenance, Good Sweet Earth Grassroots INC visions to increase wealth in marginalized communities across West Michigan, decrease greenhouse gases, repopulate critical pollinators and sustain bee and insect populations. GSEG provides education about healthy lawns, tips to break the cycle of synthetic chemicals, and seed at no cost to encourage regular over-seeding of lawns. While connecting with churches, community centers and food pantries GSEG is able to deliver free organic fertilizer, pest control, grass seed, clover seed and soil amendments ensuring all communities are provided the resources needed to help grow healthier lawns, landscapes and gardens, with cost never being a barrier. This can increase property values, thus increasing wealth in marginalized communities across West Michigan.
