Cocina Latina (September 27, 2025) was created to support La Huerta Market and Yoli Cocina Con Corazon, both of which were experiencing reduced foot traffic. Through guided market tours, cultural interpretation, and shared meals, the program generated economic activity while elevating Latino foodways and family-owned businesses. Programming at Byblos Market East Hill, Kent was intentionally developed to bring Cultural tours and storytelling helped reintroduce the market to the broader public as a living cultural space. Cultural tours and media engagement at Zain Bakery and Restaurant and Tawakl Market supported East African businesses that are essential community hubs but often overlooked by mainstream tourism and arts funding.
