The organization's mission is to: a) operate a reader-supported nonprofit newspaper, addressing issues pertinent to the communities of woodstock, shandaken, phoenicia, olive, west hurley, hunter, tannersville, saugerties, and surrounding communities (the "community"), embracing qualities that include clarity, integrity, and accuracy. B) to provide internet and print accessible news, information, and culture resources dedicated to the dissemination of local community news, events, and points of interest, as well as, weather, emergency, and general safety information for the community. C) the maintenance of an internet accessible digital archive of local historical materials, including photos, literature, audio, and other materials. D) to provide a forum for such other activities that help foster and promote the community, local literature, culture or traditions.
