The mission of Sweet Dreams Senior Pet Sanctuary is to support elderly individuals who can no longer care for their Senior pets by providing a safe and loving home for their cherished companions. The Sanctuary offers two primary programs to ensure these cherished companions continue to receive love and care: 1) The Sanctuary Pets Program provides a lifelong, loving home for Senior pets whose elderly owners are unable to continue their care due to life transitions such as moving into assisted living facilities. These pets receive comprehensive care, including proper nutrition, grooming, exercise, socialization, pain management, and dignified end-of-life care. The Sanctuary also facilitates visitations between the pets and their original owners in assisted living or nursing facilities. 2) The Guardian Angel Program allows community members to provide permanent foster homes for Senior pets while SDSPS retains responsibility for the pets' medical care for the remainder of their lives.
