Beyond the Ballet Barre is engaged in work, with historically marginalized communities, necessary to change the entrenched Ballet paradigm. Building a sustainable future for Ballet requires enlightened leadership at all levels committed to inclusion of people of color and creating a genuine environment of belonging. Essential to create sustainable spaces are cultural competence, welcoming the voices of experience and survival, and embracing innovation.
