Sussex Rotary CAN-Do Playground Inc

Seven Rotary clubs in Sussex county, delaware have joined together to build a Playground that is designed to meet the needs of children and families across the wide spectrum of physical, mental, and developmental disabilities by strengthening and expanding inclusive play areas that focus on physical, cognitive, communicative, social/emotional, and sensory development of the whole child. The clubs have created Sussex Rotary CAN-Do Playground, inc. to research the target populations, then plan, design, build and maintain the CAN-Do Playground at hudson park. The land on which the facility will be built is being provided at no cost by the Sussex county land trust as part of their stephen p. Hudson park project. To date, input on the need for the facility as well ideas for specific equipment and play settings has been received and more expert and experientially based advice will be solicited and employed in the creation of the space.
