On july 26, 2022 Stanford marketing launched organizational rebranding efforts. Uha has been re-branded to Stanford Medicine Partners ("SMP") as uha's new dba. SMP is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation that has been organized to own and operate multi-specialty medical clinics in Northern California pursuant to California health & safety code section 1206(1). Through its clinics, SMP offers a broad range of medical care and treatment to adult and pediatric patients in coordination with Stanford health care and the Stanford university school of Medicine (the members). SMP was formed in order to support, benefit and further the charitable, scientific and hospital purposes of the members by establishing, operating and maintaining multi-specialty medical clinics for the provision of healthcare services in Northern California, and by engaging in, sponsoring, advancing, encouraging and promoting charitable healthcare, education and medical research activities. The establishment and integration of the SMP clinics into a broader health care system operated through the members is intended to improve the availability, effectiveness, efficiency and quality of care provided to individuals residing in the communities served by the members.
