The primary purpose American federation of state, county and municipal employees-bay area rapid transit district supervisory and professional union, local 3993 (the "local") is to act as an advocate for members of the union by being a liason between the members and their supervisiors and to facilitate employment contract negotiations and dispute resolutions, and deal with grievances by acting as the collective bargaining agent.
