League of Women Voters of Oakland Inc

The League conducts community engagement and education activities including the presentation of public, nonpartisan forums for candidates for elective offices in its communities. These forums never include any endorsement of, or opposition to, specific political parties or candidates participating in the forums. Another significant League activity involves non-partisan information about ballot propositions, referenda, initiatives, etc. information is presented through free community forums and printed materials which explain the substance of each ballot measure; the possible fiscal effects thereof; and the arguments being made by the supporters and opponents of each ballot measure. In these presentations, the League does not support or oppose any of the measures.
