The Sacramento CA Chapter of The LINKS, Incorporated, organized in 1952, is a volunteer service organization of dedicated, talented, and professional women who are committed to the organization's mission of enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the identities, culture, and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry. The LINKS, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation established in 1946 with its headquarters in Washington, D.C. The membership includes over 17,000 professional women of African decent in 299 chapters located in 41 States, the District Of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and the United Kingdom. Marjorie Patterson and 15 distinguished women chartered The Sacramento Chapter of the LINKS, Incorporated on March 15, 1952.
