To provide scholarship to children of marines and of former marines who are in need of financial assistance to pursue undergraduate, vocational, or technical (uvt) education, and to provide financial assistance for the pursuit of education to persons otherwise deemed deserving of consideration by virtue of extraordinary circumstances and their association with the United States marine corps or their relationship to current and former members of the United States marine corps.
