Whittier Art Association

The Whittier Art Association exists to advance art appreciation by the public.The Whittier Art Gallery, operated by the Whittier Art Association, is the only facility in the area presenting free, ever-changing exhibits of art in many unique media, to inform and educate the public. The WAA sponsors 3 month-long juried exhibits each year featuring a wide variety of media by many artists. Training and assistance is provided to educate artists on proper presentation for gallery display and publicity. One month each year the gallery is provided free of charge to the local school districts for display of childrens art. The remainder of the year groups or individual artists hold exhibits of their artwork. Throughout the year special events coordinating with the exhibits feature working artists educational demonstrations, cultural performances, entertainment, and inspiration.
