The LOS Angeles County Museum of Natural History foundation (the "foundation"), a California nonprofit corporation, was incorporated in 1965 for the purpose of providing financial and other support to the LOS Angeles County Museum of Natural History, which is operated and maintained by the County of LOS Angeles (the "County"), through its department of Museum of Natural History. The foundation supports and assists in the maintenance and development of the museums' educational, scientific, and cultural programs and services, and in the expansion of their collections, as well as providing personnel to augment the museums' staff.
