Duke Arthroplasty Society, Inc. (the Organization) is a North Carolina nonprofit corporation established on July 18, 2024. The Organization is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (the Code), including for the purposes of making distributions to organizations exempt under Code section 501(c)(3).The Organization will spend 100 percent of its time and resources in furtherance of its exempt purposes of sharing research and information between physicians and educators in the field of Arthroplasty. Specifically, the Organization will hold periodic meetings and seminars to share information of benefit to the practice of Arthroplasty and develop and sponsor programs for education in the field of Arthroplasty.
