The Progressive Work Institute's primary exempt purpose is to advance research, education, and applied practice focused on improving job quality, reducing burnout, and promoting sustainable, worker-centered work design. During the reporting period, the Institute conducted six-month pilot programs implementing the Progressive Work Model (PWM) with organizations globally. Program services included administering pre- and post-implementation surveys, conducting qualitative interviews, analyzing workforce data, and producing organization-specific case study reports. These activities served an estimated several thousand workers across participating organizations. The objective of this work is to generate empirical evidence on how changes in employer practices affect burnout, engagement, retention, and job quality. The Institute's longer-term goal is to disseminate evidence-based guidance that informs organizational decision-making and public discourse on the future of work.
