The specific purpose of this corporation is to foster Jewish religious and cultural values and facilitate the holding of Jewish services and celebrations at a senior retirement community. Our part-time rabbi led Shabbat services every Friday night where she commented on the Torah portion of the week, the hostages still being held by Hamas and the spirit of Shabbat. We provided High Holiday services with a hired cantor. We provided two Passover seders including services and a festive meal. The rabbi provided weekly short story classes with books that focused on Jewish history and values. For each additional holiday we held traditional services, ritual observances and celebrations. Our rabbi provided memorial services, pastoral counseling and conducted funerals. In 2025, we are planning to initiate unique Shabbat evenings to introduce new residents to the rabbi, our services and encourage more participation. We are working with management to re-institute our reserved larger Shabbat dinner
