United States - Japan Innovation institute, inc. ("us-jii") is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (the "code"), including, but not limited to, the advancement of educational programs and scientific research that promote Innovation and foster and facilitate collaboration between American and Japanese universities and their academic researchers and technologists; and the making of distributions under section 501(c)(3) of the code.
